Klea Refrigerant’s parent company, Mexichem Fluor, has unveiled a brand new corporate identity, Koura, to reflect the company’s bold new aspirations, global footprint and innovative and diverse nature of its businesses. We explore why the change has happened and what it means for the future of the business.
Koura’s industry-leading refrigerant range will remain under the highly recognised KLEA® brand, and the company will continue to develop, manufacture and market innovative fluorine products to supply across the heating, ventilation and air conditioning, automotive, and commercial refrigeration industries.
Why the change?
Koura aspires to have a positive impact on the world, and the rebrand mirrors the company’s long term commitment to sustainability and the environment, its heritage, people, communities, safety and health. As a global company, Koura has already begun to ensure positive change, by taking action, in line with its values.
What does it mean for the future?
The company is investing significantly across its global operations to streamline its offerings and is developing lower GWP products across its range, with innovation, performance and sustainability the main focus. As an example of its ongoing drive to meet and exceed sustainability targets and current and future environmental regulations, the company developed a refrigerant recycling program in Japan in 2018.
